This is an extremely well written case study summary of a fascinating peer reviewed case study. In both the original and the medical journalist summary there is a very interesting chronology of pathophysiological speculations of what is happening, why and how one might approach therapy using that pathophysiological speculation.
If there was a Pulitzer Prize for medical journalism this article should be considered for that award.
